Barford tigers junior hockey festival

We were delighted to host 29 teams from across the region for a brilliant day of hockey featuring tournaments in the U8, U10 and U12 age groups alongside exciting exhibition matches from our U16 players.

The standard of hockey on display throughout the day was outstanding. Every one of our younger players represented the club brilliantly showing tremendous skill, determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Most importantly it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces enjoying the game and having fun with teammates and friends.

Many congratulations goes out to our U8 and U10 teams who both won their respective age categories- a fantastic achievement and thoroughly deserved after some excellent performances. We were equally proud of all about other teams who demonstrated incredible effort and resilience.

Events like this would not be possible without an enormous amount of hard work that happens behind the scenes. A massive thank you to all our volunteers who gave up their time to make the festival such a success. From organising logistics and fixtures, preparing pitches, running the food stalls and selling raffle tickets and to umpiring matches and coaching teams throughout the day, your commitment to our players and the club is truly appreciated.

We would like to give a special thank you to the parents and families who continue to support their children week in, week out- whether its early morning starts, travelling to matches or cheering on the sidelines, your support means so much to our players and to the club.

Thank you to every club, volunteer, and supporter who joined us- we already cannot wait for next year!
